Färnebofjärden National Park

Budget cutbacks for outdoor life maintenance 2019

Due to large budget cutbacks in Färnebofjärden National Park maintanence we need to prioritize between our different measures to facilitate outdoor activities.

Therefore, the hiking trails in the Tinäset area (southern part of Färnebofjärden NP, see map above) will not be cleared from fallen trees. It means that when visiting this area, you need to be prepared for little more difficulties, like climbing over fallen tree trunks. We have made this prioritization because the Tinäset area is a part of the National Parks “wilderness zone”, where nature gradually is being allowed to return to its original state. This year we are focusing our resources to the most visited areas instead.

If you have any questions, you are welcome to contact our Visitor Centre naturum Färnebofjärden by e-mail or by phone +46105221516.
