Reindeer grazing

Around the Padjelanta / Badjelánnda there is a variety of nice grassy meadows. Many of them are traces in nature after the period when the Sami milked the reindeer.

About the activity

The reindeer grazing land is typical for Badjelánnda, which is a centrally located summer pasturage for Sami people engaged in reindeer husbandry. Looking back, you can see how it differs from the rest of the landscape in its vegetation and great variety of species.
