Hambergstugorna

At Boarekjávrre you will find one of the five specially constructed research cabins that Axel Hamberg had built.

About the activity

The little red-painted cabin in Boarek is surrounded by small buildings for measuring instruments. This is the best preserved Hamberg cabin. All of the cabins are locked, but they are still used for research purposes. Three of the other cabins are located in Skoarkki and Litnok and on Bårddetjåhkkå. The fifth now is part of the Swedish Mountain and Sami Museum in Jokkmokk.
