Welcome!

Here, you will find everything you need to know before your visit to Stenshuvud National Park. When it is best to visit the park, how to get there and the rules you will need to follow once you are there.

The national park is south-east of Kivik in Simrishamn municipality, Skåne county. You can get to the main entrance by car from Södra Mellby. There is also an entrance in the northern part by Hällevik. Several paths have been constructed in the national park and to the top of Stenshuvud. Read more about the entrances to the right.

Maps and guides

It is easy to both get to and get around in Stenshuvud. At all of the entrances there are information boards where you can obtain a brochure and a map of the national park.


In the park there is also a visitor centre, naturum Stenshuvud, with exhibits. Knowledgeable personnel will be happy to tell you about the national park and answer your questions. You can also book guided tours here. Read more about naturum Stenshuvud to the right.

Clothing and equipment

You can visit all entrances in regular shoes. The hiking trails can be muddy after it rains, so after a rainfall it is a good idea to wear boots.
