Blå Jungfrun National Park
Legend-shrouded, distinctive and isolated
Blå Jungfrun is an isolated island with a magnificent silhouette. The slate blue granite dome rises 86 metres above the sea in Kalmar Strait. This appearance has contributed to making Blå Jungfrun the Blåkulla of myths and folk tales, a place where witches gathered.
During 2020 and 2021 extensive work is going to occure at Blå jungfrun nationalpark. New informationboards and trailmarks will be installed and our work to increase the safety on the islad will be continued. As a result the access to Blå jungfrun will be limited to the summer months when there is staff stationed on the island. This means from the week before Midsummer to the second week in August. Thank you for your patience!
Here, you will find everything you need to know before your visit to Blå Jungfrun National Park. When it is best to visit the park, how to get there and the rules you will need to follow once you are there.
